  • Members overnight Retreat Recap >>>

Our President, Gavin Mariano, wrote a $3,325.00 grant to the IU Funding Board for our retreat and it was just approved, in full! Thank you, IU Funding Board. Our Retreat Planning Committee was Julian Davila, Elizabeth Del Real, and Pamela Rosas--all IUB graduate or professional degree program scholars and pledged LGPSU members.

Our retreat was held held at Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina on Sat Nov 12 - Sun Nov 13, 2022. Currently enrolled graduate or professional program students at IUB who intend to join or are currently pledged members of the LGPSU were invited to attend.  Our event was designed to be brief and comfortable ("Come as you are"). Registration was complimentary. Our featured speakers were Dr. Edward Vargas, IU Masters Alumnus and current faculty at Arizona State University - and Laura Hudson, MBA from the IU Budget Office. Also, hands-on discussions were held by current IUB Scholar, Lilliana Rocha; and workshops / discussions about identity and activism. Meals, accomodations were complimentary. Plus our annual meeting took place at the retreat. Photos and video shorts are now available on in our photo gallery.
